I call this image " Lady in Red". I love images that transform you back in time. One might wonder then who this mysterious Lady in Red is. Is she going to the fortress to meet her lover? Perhaps she is from the local village and is bringing wares to trade. Maybe her husband is one of the soldiers at the fortress. Maybe she is a spy for the British. Because she is a moment frozen in time, we are left to our own imagination as to her true purpose.
Photography has always been a creative passion of mine. In my career as a graphic designer for 33 years, I have utilized the photography skills I had learned as a student of The Ontario College of Art (OCAD). I feel this knowledge made me a more complete designer. When a design required an image, I was able to grab my camera and shoot what I needed to fit the layout I created. As a former educator, I have always told my photography students that I was going to open their creative eyes. This is the basis of all my photography, to view our natural world in a creative, unique way.
