A Ring-billed Gull steps up his endless search for food along the shoreline of Lake Ontario.
Photography has always been a creative passion of mine. In my career as a graphic designer for 33 years, I have utilized the photography skills I had learned as a student of The Ontario College of Art (OCAD). I feel this knowledge made me a more complete designer. When a design required an image, I was able to grab my camera and shoot what I needed to fit the layout I created. As a former educator, I have always told my photography students that I was going to open their creative eyes. I know what it is William. The Gull has a look of "wait, here I come for you to photograph me - be patient". I mean with that walk and look as though it is looking directly at Spencer I'm surprised you didn't mentally receive that message. I'm kidding with you. Spencer, this is a fantastic capture but the gull does have a "wondering" look on its face as though it is trying to figure out your intentions. VERY, very well done. (L/F) Bill & Deb Hayes (Oops, almost forgot, CONGRATULATIONS on the weekly WOW Spencer !!!)
Spencer Bush replied:
Thank you Bill and Deb for your great comment! I did feel he was looking at me and sizing me up.

Hi Spencer! There is something so very special about this image. It just has a feel or a vibe that hit me in all the right ways. I'm not sure if it is the POV (which is awesome) or the subtle gray tones or the off center placement of the bird. I just am very attracted to the image. Anyway...Your beautiful image has been featured by Wild Birds Of The World. L/F
Spencer Bush replied:
Thank you William for the feature and your kind comments. I have always been attracted to photographing birds.
