Chickadees have one of the most sophisticated signaling systems of animal vocalizations. Their common "chickadee" vocal can vary with the amount of "dee's" added their vocals. The pesence of a Pygmy Owl can intice 15 or more dee's to their call while a Great Horned Owl would intice 10. They use different vocalizations for mating, danger, signaling the coast is clear, food sources, female to male communication just to mention a few.

Photography has always been a creative passion of mine. In my career as a graphic designer for 33 years, I have utilized the photography skills I had learned as a student of The Ontario College of Art (OCAD). I feel this knowledge made me a more complete designer. When a design required an image, I was able to grab my camera and shoot what I needed to fit the layout I created. As a former educator, I have always told my photography students that I was going to open their creative eyes.
